To mark the birth anniversary of great sage, poet and philosopher Maharishi Balmiki, BVM, USN celebrated Balmiki Jayanti and Sharad Purnima with great fervor and enthusiasm. Mrs. Suman Thapar (PRT) threw light on the life history of the harbinger poet in Sanskrit and creator of legendary Epic ‘The Ramayana’. Undergoing transformation after severe penance for years the divine voice bestowed him with the new avatar of saint Balmiki Ji. His teachings and sermons are precious guidelines for the humanity. Highlighting the incredible facts of Sharad Purnima from our sacred scriptures, she also enlightened BVMites with the scientific fact how the rays of full moon of Sharad Purnima have medicinal powers to heal the body, mind and soul. To acquaint the students with the life history of Maharishi Balmiki Ji a short documentary was also shown to the students. Extending her greetings on the special occasion Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi exhorted the BVMites to follow the preachings of the sublime saint.
